Level 3 deer?

I think that kind of takes away from what is HnH... boundaries are set by players not... anything else. Random Spawn for dragon! I did actually like civilize based levels though. It was already hard to find high level animals back in W3's huge map, so if it were to ever return, I'd like to see the level drops adjusted to a smaller map.

Also, as Nao mentioned, only Deer can vary in level.

To be honest i really loved the old w2 where
for all noobies it was; the farther from RoB
you go the higher level the animals, and there
was water cutting the RoB from the rest of
the world, which meant stuff like... I used to
kill all the low level animals near our camp
and hear these tales of the more dangerous
creatures past the river that i could help my
mates kill later when i'm stronger... just that
thing of there being no boats... would be cool
if there was like, ocean that you can only cross
with large ships that have certain amounts of
people with certain skills, and they lead to
islands or continents with beasts like that

I got to also agree with you on this one. I mean when all the animals varied in lvls you could actually be a newbie and feel accomplished as you killed a lvl 2 deer or fox. And like every lvl higher you felt just a little better. Or if you had a friend who just joined you could go and kill them a mass amount of low lvled animals and let them take care of the meat as they pleased.

Besides I miss the long voyages to search for a lvl X bear because you had to travel way off the beaten path.

However I just found a level three deer. q 95 stone axe and 100 surv. Got q33 skin, intestines and meat.
I'd gotten rather used to my q97 intestines and deer meat.

Same thing happened to me in our village..
I got all excited that I was OHKO'ing the herd of deer lol.
Carved to my disappointment that they ranged q29-33..

Ever since the auth server has had it's issues I've found a group of level 7, level 3, and level 2 deer. I haven't found any 10 since then. Could just be coincidence though. The level 2 and 3 were found on a newly created alt.

Some more interesting info about the deer now. I killed a level 7 deer earlier. This is what happened - 130 surv, 92 cutting tool. I got a 76 skin/meat, but 79 bones. Not really sure how that works..
