Are these worth anything? I seem to be finding herds of them outside my place fairly often. I just had another herd spawn, but I already have a ton of beef.

They are not. If you are really lucky you might sell some choryzos made from them, but even those aren't very good.

actually, bones and hides can be of some use if you arent too lazy.
bones to bone glues, hides to either lowq leather for mining hole(though you would need wax to make them into hard leather afterwards) or just hide straps to make ropes with. some lazy players do buy ropes and glues. you could keep them in stock in case you need them later. its just a bit too tedious to call those work "worthwhile" for some lazy players. and of course most people would not buy auroch corpses since they are all q10.

If you don't have cattle? They are useful for milking, just feed em a 4 leaf clover and milk.

Bone glue and leather are used for large chests, so you might get something for those materials in bulk.
