Why would you pay them back? You should know you are taking a risk buying anything in this game with RL money since its permadeath so you could lose it at any moment and since it could just be reset. Its the buyer's risk, the seller shouldn't worry about it.

A good seller would develop enough of a reputation to be able to assure future world discounts for purchases made in previous worlds. Everybody wins (except the game, which loses)

Actually their kinda is cause its sort of spam in his perfectly fine trade thread. I believe there was a discussion about this a while back.
