the case of the disappearing banner
So I was constructing a banner in a tile adjacent to a paved road tile and the claim of old odyseuss' abandoned amusement park, and at the point where the last piece of linen cloth was constructed, the construction sign disappeared and the banner never appeared. I have a hypothesis that either the proximity of the road tile or the claim is the culprit, but Scooby and the bobsy twins say it's the ghost of old man odyseuss, making sure nobody starts up the famous rollercoaster that led to his untimely death! I told them that they're just silly, but since the van ran out of hemp oil, I thought we might do some sleuthing. Let's go gang!

was the linen the last material to be built in? i.e. Would the flag have been fully created at that moment had it not disappeared?

I can confirm the magic act. I've had it happen to me once when building a brodgar banner.

Yes the linen was the last thing to be built in. The flag should have appeared. Can you describe your experience, Pacho?

Exactly the same as yours. Same conditions too, tile next to a road.

All of Blandinsville's flags have been built on road tiles. Were the flags like right next to a claim that you don't have rights on? Maybe the bug is with the construction box not being the same size as the actual object box and when it tries to build it, it goes over into the claim and is then rejected?

The same thing just happened to me just now, only with a statue.
I think the problem is that the banner/statue was built too close to the inner circle of another authority object.

That sounds plausable. Most of the brodgaran banners get laid down in large perimieter sets, so it's possibly that they were valid when I placed them based on pre-existing banners, but became invalidated as more were built.PhaedrothSP wrote:The same thing just happened to me just now, only with a statue.

That's what happened to the second one you placed at the docks. It disappeared when Jones finished it.theTrav wrote:That sounds plausable.
