takes 3 seconds to see how much charcoal something takes on the wiki 4 for smelter 2 for finery forge...bricks you can burn 2 loads of clay from 1 if you catch it at mid tick. your idea fixes nothing, adresses no problems, and even sounds weird. I say no.crevank wrote:It's simple, don't fill a kiln/oven with wood. Research, check the wiki, do a lil Math.

if you wet charcoal you get...mush? not sure what you'd call it but you wouldn't be able to light it later(possibly ever again) and would have to clean out the kiln/smelter before using it again.

Re: Stopping a burning kiln/etc.
what do we do when J&L finally fix that bug? I think this idea of being able to save fuel would be one of those, "nice to have, but not necessary". since I wouldn't have to worry about having to refuel my kiln's and smelters every single time I want use them, but that's just being lazy.MagicManICT wrote:If you're looking to save materials, use the oven/kiln bug and wait for the proper time and then use a single piece of fuel.

if you can think of a way to put out a fire that doesn't leave the burning bits unusable for another fire suggest it, and I'll tell you why its just a waste of programming time since there are so many other great things that need to be added
