theres a bucket attached to the well, no need to try dunking a barrel in there, just use barrel on well to fill it would work fine, or barrel on shallow water...this has been discussed before, I just can't remember where.

I tried that today

i was wondering if it should work. But i cant see the logistics of filling a barrel at a well. Would you be able to fill a whole barrel with one swipe IRL?

If you have a rope thick enough to support the weight and strength (or pulley/lever system) enough to winch it up, there's no reason you couldn't. 100L water = 100kg if I'm doing my math in my sleep deprived head right. Even a simple block and tackle can let an average man lift this with little effort.

It is just bad gameplay that you cannot do this. So yes, needs to be added.
