Re: I like the new LP-system
Is a system designed to encourage exploration severely impeded by the presence of essentially impassable terrain such as rivers and lakes and the highly hostile wildfire? This is especially true of newbies, who will not know of the importance of boats, will not have custom clients to assist them, and will not be able to manipulate the glitches of AI animals against them.
I'm not sure, but I think it is worth discussing. I do feel that the new LP system essentially encourages people to be nomadic until they settle down, which is by itself, an excellent idea. But perhaps much more polish is required.

Re: I like the new LP-system
At first i was hostile to this (r)evolution, but i'm changing my mind. At least it deserves the chance to be played and tested long enough, and i think its positive effects for the game and communities will grow as time passes. Also the communist reference is more and more significant (and interesting in terms of gameplay).
I thought production / crafting wasn't useful anymore and it pissed me off. But in fact it's "stupid grinding" which is, production and even mass production is still very usefull, maybe more than before. And different aspects of the game have been increased.
LP gain is different but my fears about time to progress and community life is gone and as i understand how to do it, and i can enjoy the game again.
Vive la Révolution !

Here's an idea for what they should do. The haven and hearth people should make a world with the new LP system and a world with the old LP system. Then when you start a new character you may choose which world you want to go to.
