is there a way to see your co ords in game? just so i know if i've been wasting my time scouring the map all this time

Nope. You must compare your surroundings to the map, and search manually.

Love the client, great work on it. Although it does negate the need of wax candles. :P

Can someone advise me? I downloaded the Ender client. Followed the directions on this thread for installing it. When I click to login it gets through authentication but then says connection refused. I can login with no problem using the native client. I am running on windows 7 64bit and java 32bit.
