Motherfuckers dont have enough with the HearthVaults, Macro Bots and exploits. Now they can do text haxx to make the entire server LAGfest?


or does this only affect local area.



around noon CST today, we were gettin Lagged out pretty much for an hour(i had to log to get ready for work) we had jokingly said there must be a rather "big faction fightin" going on cause someone is spammin the server to create mondo lag. from what i can tell, looks like we wern't off by that much.


fuck, why dont we just let everybody have some sharks with freaking lazerbeams on thier heads while we're at it.

I don't think the time zones match up, but both times people who were not present were lagging, you can even tell from the video, Redell is lagging while out of rendering distance of the chat bot.

this is where i Really wish Devs would allow the forum moderators(namely potjeh) to be able to log on to an avatar. That has the power to destroy entire villages with one button.


I dunno, i watched the video, i guess there isn't 100% proof, but i would say 95% proof that there is hacking going on.

Joojoo, I think it lags a large area even out of render distant though I can sure there is one that allows you to DoS the server anyhow. The more I see this develop, the closer I see that someone is going to compromise the forum and/or server.

The devs don't intervene, because the mess would be bigger afterwards than before. I can understand that, but the current state of the game could use some actions.

As Potjeh stated before he wouldn't even trust himself with that task and now imagine I had such powers. No matter what goes wrong for those folks out there who hate me they would start blaming it on me and some secret dev hax intervention.

anyway to proof it is easy.

Take a bot that give random text any second. Watch what happen. Done.

I think the probabilities that this lag bot is true are high, all depend on how the server work witht he chat, but create a chatting bot isn't so hard as can be a lumberjaker bot, so, just try it and discover it, mods.

A good way to solve this bot is fix, then, the chat to optimize the server work, or if it can't be done, put an anti flood.
It should be possible just optimize the chat, anyway. A server should handle a flood from 1 bot, it wasn't an anonymous attack afterall. XD
