Well I have a problem with some dude that is persistantly trying to kill me. He already have killed my main and my friend ones in a raid in my old village. After moving a bit away and building my own scetlment, the same guy shows up and pretends to be a hermit. Later that week he shows up and shoots my friend in the back with a sling doing minor dmg and leaves sents. We track the sents leading to some HUGE faction living on an island (untouchable in other words). Nowdays this guy shows up with a bow and shoots at me and my friend frequently with a bow. This far he has yet to manage to kill anyone but if he keaps this up we might lose a char to his persistant sniping. This far he has shown up at least 3 times a day for the past 2 days and killed at least 5 beginner alts.
Beaing relatively new to pvp I have no other option but to run indoors and hide. Fighting him would obviously lead to nothing but death. I have read up on pvp and tried out beginner stuff and spared with my friend. With that knolage I know that I neither have the skills or experience to fight him or his friends.
I simply dont have the experience to deal with constant harasments from this guy. He is part of a large faction so it wont be easy to find allies to willingly go fight this guy and risk war. I dont even know if its a good idea to try and kill him antagonizing his faction. It also seems like a bad idea to contact his faction as rumors are that they are bullies and like to raid hermits. I wear bronze armor and Im trying to get my hands on a vapntreyiu. But I dont even konw what Q the armor have to be for my chars to survive a direct hit. I really dont like the idea of constantly geting attacked as I might accedentaly leave the farmer afk for 1 min (RL distractions) and lose my char. Are there any options for me to hire a mercinery to take him out and if so how much would it cost. He basicaly have murder and other sents outside my village I could give to anyone wanting a free kill.
HnH have become much more hostile and less fun to play just cause one guy decided to have some fun on my behaf. I need some tips and advice on how to deal with this kind of problem.

Re: Terrorist at my doorstep
The best option you have is to pack up and move as far away as you can. No where is completely safe but if you can't defend yourselves at the moment you best option is just to count your losses and take what you can. H&H is not easy but the fact you are still going even after you have died and been raided shows you might be able to stick to it.
Hiring someone to deal with your pest is really not an option simply because they have no reason to stick their neck out for you. Yes there are a lot of kind people in H&H but those that have stuck around have learned to weigh what they can gain to the risks and the fact this guy is part of a large village makes the risk too high.

You could try making a post in congress assembled asking for help. Be careful who you give your coords out to though. Providing a name of this village u tracked to would help anyone looking to lend you a hand too.
If you'd rather not do that, and you really don't think he's going to leave you alone, I'd have to recommend packing up and starting a new elsewhere.

If you can give me a PM about what faction it is, and where these scents are, ill see what i can do about him.Dust wrote: He basicaly have murder and other sents outside my village I could give to anyone wanting a free kill.

Get your own bows and slings (assuming he wears no armor) and everyone start shooting back. You'll need to have bought Rage unless that other person has already attacked you. If someone gets Murder, too, then you can just kill him.
As with all things, actions have consequences, so you should be properly prepared if you choose this course of action. If you don't have a brick wall already, there's a good chance that if he belongs to this village, his buddies will come a knockin', likely just knock a hole in your palisade, and summon and kill the murderer and loot what's there. Thus, someone will likely need to be the sacrificial lamb, make a bunch of alts to store everything you want to keep, and then make a few more "guard dog" alts you can log in on first to check and make sure that nobody is actually in the village. It sucks to be the only person to log in in the middle of a raid.
The one downside of moving is that you just don't know what your new neighbors are going to be like. There are some powerful villages that fight each other and leave the newbies alone. There's a lot of douchebaggery going on and people killing anyone wantonly, too.

@magicman,
So you can kill someone if that person has murder and aggro's you?

Krikke, I don't think that's what MagicMan said. He said that if they want to kill this raider, someone (the OP or one of his friends) has to buy murder.

Yup. You can kill the other guy without murder, but it's hard and slow. You can't re-engage in combat until after they wake up.min_the_fair wrote:Krikke, I don't think that's what MagicMan said. He said that if they want to kill this raider, someone (the OP or one of his friends) has to buy murder.

This guys persistant sniping got my farmer killed. What annoyes me is that I didn't even see him on the minimap when the arrow KOed my farmer then later got him killed. What trick did this guy use?

Oddimonium might be the one doing this, so there isn't much else you can do but move out of the region.

I really was hoping that I didnt have to move. I have a few cows that can give milk and that sadens me that I have to leave them behind. Is it possible for me in any way to bring a few cows a few supergrids down a river with me on a raft. Or Im better of just leaving them behind.
