Hey Avu? if the state of the game really bothers you this much? Why don't you take abreak from the forums until development restarts on it. I'm currently having fun with Star Trek Online, now F2P and Uncharted Waters Online, also F2P. You seem to be driving yourself into a lather over things that won't be fixed anytime soon and it's just....a bit childish.
And even worse, now I have that fucking annoying R.E.M song "Everybody Hurts" stuck in my head and that makes me want to punch you in the throat.

Holy shit CRF! Some major stuff there. Just wondering how will it be possible for law enforcement to proceed to find and persecute people here.

Because there isn't a need for one, because it wouldn't change anything, perhaps? Please explain to me how it would.crfernald wrote:One last thing that I'd like to do, and that's dump on the devs some more. Because you then have a 'catch all' wall to hide behind when you deal with people doing things like this.jorb wrote:Because there isn't a need for one, because it wouldn't change anything, perhaps? ???: Why you delete all my shit?
Jorb: Because you broke the rules. See the TOS. Its what you signed up for.
???: Oh. Okay.
Granted that is ridiculously hard to do in a game that is basically revolved around martial law, but there are parameters that have to be adhered to, such as gaining passwords to accounts by way of bruteforce programs etc, or even just Hearth Secrets. I mean, if a player is TOLD the password because they played in a target village for a while with an alt enough to be trusted with it, etc, then that's a different story. The pass is willingly given out. The acquisition is underhand and questionable but its the town's own fault. In instances like this, however, that break all conceivable morals tied to being an upstanding player, in blatant disregard, is not something that players can take into their own hands. Especially in the case of a faction as large as it is.

Re: Everybody hurts...from their butt
Jorb, it would outline your intent and put an end to the moral ambiguity behind game abuses, letting users know that there would be consequences for game/server abuse that do break the game, damage the server, or some close to entering the realm of illegal activity. Are you telling me that you don't see how a lack of guidelines by which the community operates has been having a detrimental effect on both the direction that the community has taken in the years that it has existed? Although, you are correct, with your hands off attitude towards fixing things the chances are that any guidelines establish would not be enforced.
Either the devs or their hosting company would contact your ISP, or, as is more likely, German law enforcement that would petition your ISP for your customer registration information and make an extradition request to a low level government office dealing with these affairs. Your nation likely has an extradition treaty with either the EU or Germany for cyber crimes, unless it is a non-extradition country such as Russia, in which case you may or may not face prosecution by local law enforcement. While you may not be dragged off to Germany to face trial, there would be a good chance your ISP would deny you service or you may be forced to pay damages to the hosting company. Really, what year is it? Do you not think that people get in trouble for DDoS attacks?Holy shit CRF! Some major stuff there. Just wondering how will it be possible for law enforcement to proceed to find and persecute people here.

Re: Everybody hurts...from their butt
Terms of service are generally only needed for...well....services. this game is completely free to play and as such, ISN'T a service. Nice try though.....
