Finding Peeps and Murder

We got raided. Woopty F*ckin' doo. But I have a couple questions.
There are people waltzing around inside. Should I log out right before they attack me am I safe?
How long do they usually stay?
I assume it isn't safe to rebuild right there.
When I run my cursor over a specific corpse I get one of my buddies names so it clear he died.
What combat skills should I get to be able to fight back? They aren't wearing any armor so I assume I wouldn't need too much, but what specific skills.
Is there any way I can regroup with my friends?
I appreciate any and all help.

If they could get in your walls, they're stronger than you. If they're still there, log out. Don't fight back, at most spawn alts and patrol the area. They usually stay maybe an hour if it's a decent place, 5 minutes if there's nothing of value, I assume it's the latter.

Well iff someone could raid on me I would change my place and start from brickwall. Remember they can re-attack you just for fun.. and raging in Haven and Hearth is pointless
