Jorbtar are the gods of these hearthlands. Everything the light touches is their kingdom.ramones wrote:So, jorb owns my pearls?

That is what I have been telling you all along.ramones wrote:So, jorb owns my pearls?
Oh isn't it? What, then, do you suppose it is that you are transferring? A contract -- implied by the transfer of money -- has two parts. What, exactly, is the counterpart to the money being transferred? What legal, transferable title is it, exactly, that is being transferred in the exchange? What enforceable contract is it that you believe arises from this exchange?cobaltjones wrote:This reeks of moral scare tactics. RMT is in no way "buying or selling things that you do not own".
I'm not going to bicker with you about nothing, and I'm not sure if the implication here is that I will not have a bright future in politics -- in which case I heartily agree and take it as a compliment -- or a sarcastic remark about how I actually will have a bright future in politics, in which case blarghblarf.cobaltjones wrote:Very tactful discussion there. Well, I don't sell pearls ingame, I just "give" them awayburgingham wrote:That is what I have been telling you all along.ramones wrote:So, jorb owns my pearls?
That was obvious before and there didn't have to be a rule for that. That is just common sense.
Now Badich stop posting on an alt account or your ban will be prolongued. Just take the 2 weeks you got now.
they are selling access to an account, or to some data (ingame items). access != ownership. seems like a similar situation to many software licenses to me. the software license doesn't grant ownership, it grants the right to access.jorb wrote:Oh isn't it? The accounts could be argued to be personal and non-transferable by nature, though, but it could, indeed, be argued that we should write a EULA. I just hate the bureaucratic implications of doing that.sabinati wrote:they are selling access to an account, or to some data (ingame items). access != ownership. seems like a similar situation to many software licenses to me. the software license doesn't grant ownership, it grants the right to access.
