Let me give a complete answer as he don't gets the mining system.feda wrote:I started mining for the first time, but the tiles are just spitting out rocks and never turning into floor. What is the problem?
No, it's a bit further away, I need to get to it first. But how many times do I have to mine a tile exactly for it to become floor? Is it random?Phoenix246 wrote:feda wrote:I started mining for the first time, but the tiles are just spitting out rocks and never turning into floor. What is the problem?

They hurt but they're not certain death. Definitely something to be careful of and to always wear a mining helmet to protect against partially.feda wrote:What are cave-ins like? Is it certain death or I could survive if it's a small one?
Unless you KNOW that there's ore behind that wall, you're better off moving on down the cave a ways and trying another spot. I try not to go farther than about 10-20 tiles when testing as many of the nodes I've found only intersect the cave for as little as 5-10 tiles.feda wrote:No, it's a bit further away, I need to get to it first.
