Double LP exploit?

Post by exin153 »

This could have already been reported, but I'm not sure. Just reporting it as I found it a few minutes ago.

When you're lighting a fire, there is actually a way to get double LP for lighting it.

Basically the way I've found (and have repeated it to make sure it wasn't just lag):
1) Click Light My Fire
2) While the fire is lighting, with the little hourglass filling up, reclick the fire so the Light My Fire button comes up, but do not click it.
3) After the fire is lit, click the Light My Fire button. The fire should re-light itself, even though it's already lit, and you will gain double LP for lighting it twice.

I uploaded a video as well, demonstrating the repeatability. :P

So yep, just thought I'd report it. If it was reported already, my mistake :P.

Thanks!

I would recommend J&L retain this feature, but upon trying to re-light the fire your hearthling bursts into flame and various insults are displayed upon the screen as you burn to death.

Yea, been around for a while. A bug to be sure, but doesnt give enough LP to be considered much of an exploit.

You didn't listen to something Jackard said did you? That's usually going to get you killed

No, I just enjoy the suffering of others greatly. Almost as much as helping them out. Since he didn't die I was disappointed.

Guide to not drowning:
  • have good constitution
  • make sure river is the shortest width possible
  • set self to crawl speed a little ways from water, enough to give you time to click flask once you start moving
  • open inventory, make sure flask is filled, make sure stamina is high
  • leftclick opposite side of river once
  • before you enter water, rightclick waterflask
  • keep Empty or Drink menu open
  • when you feel your stamina is dropping too low, select Drink
