What I noticed is that there is no animal life in the thickets.
And since they're fairly rare, why not add small packs of aggressive goblins with stone axes and slings inthere? Or wombats. I like wombats.
After butchering said goblins could have a low % chance to drop some curiosity items, or medium Q slings and stone axes or leather, that'd be up to the developers.
And for everyone who's saying "GOBLINS ARE UNREALISTIC HURR" -
We have cave Trolls, summon bread and can make ourselves glow.

Re: Goblins or other critters
I don't know what would be "unrealistic" about the idea other than the fact that they're purely fantasy, but then, as you pointed out, so are trolls and hearth magic. The argument that you're pointing at would be "doesn't fit the setting" and you'd be right in saying that isn't a valid argument. How about me saying that it's a crappy idea because it involves thickets?
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

You be hating on dem thickets?
Edit: I also never said that it HAS to be thickets solely. Mountains have no animals either.

Don't take it wrong about getting shot down orc, unless your post count is above 1000, and your elitist, have played other worlds, you can't post here.
I posted about my main dying in a perfectly legit thread the other day and high horsey burg locked it
apparently all we talk about is trading, bug abusing, botting, dis, and ainran. your not needed here.

(Apologies for completely disregarding the idea at hand, it's a fair idea and I have no comment for it but I feel the need to address this fellow here)
There is a tendency for a lot of ideas being shot down immediately when suggested by newer players. There is a relation. This relation is based off how much experience and understanding of game mechanics which naturally comes with time. Once you progress yourself in game and have that depth of knowledge "we" have, you will change your own mind on your ideas and thoughts.
For the record, the thread was locked since there was no true potential for discussion, and that thread follows every other thread someone makes about dying. Don't take it personally, that type of thread comes in abundance, and if it wasn't locked all the replies would be bitching about pointless threads.
By all means I agree there isn't the most friendliest of communities here, but there's no escaping that.

Re: Goblins or other critters
The reason Burg locked your thread wasn't because you were a nub, silly. If your thread isn't entertaining, why did you make it at all? Unless you have a cool story, pictures and or drama to add to, there really is no point to it. Jorb loves drama, the forums love drama, what the forums doesn't like is people wasting a thread on something 'inane' and effects no one but the op, and if the mods let one guy do it, then the trolls will eat it up and create the most boring trivial dribble just to piss everyone off.Realak wrote:Don't take it wrong about getting shot down orc, unless your post count is above 1000, and your elitist, have played other worlds, you can't post here.

This forum is not your blog, nor would ANYONE want to see that.
Edit: and also, additional magical creatures would be awesome, but I'd rather Jorbtar drop a wolf pack in every major and minor city in the world and sit back and laugh. With no warning on the maps, there would be plenty dead.

Re: Goblins or other critters
If you have a problem about moderation then please take it to the Announcements and not to another users suggestion thread. Your thread was shit btw and not legit, but the other users have explained that already. Really nothing against you, but dozens of noobs die everyday like you did and it would clog up the forums to no end if everyone posted about it like you did. So let us please bring this one here back on track.Realak wrote:Don't take it wrong about getting shot down orc, unless your post count is above 1000, and your elitist, have played other worlds, you can't post here.

@OP: More creatures are planned, even drawn like eagles and wolves. There is only a small chance to see more mystical creatures in game imo, at least not the common fantasy literature ones. Jorb and Loftar have their own mindset on what is cool fantasy (take a look at the weird creatures they plan to add in Salem) and in HnH it usually is somehow related to nordic or germanic folklore. So we won't much in your face magic and I count most common fantasy creatures as such. So let us hope for those wolfpacks to make the mountains a more lively...or deadly place in the future.

Have you ever seen goblins at all? Because if you did, I would say stop doing drugs.Kriegwolf wrote:@Realak Dunno wha'cha saying.
