Huh, abandoned you say?
Dis' population remains stable through the world. Like old members quit but return after a while (like Apxe and Guines did). It's normal that not everyone can mantain the same rythm of playing all the time since h&h is designed this way.
I still can see 25+ people coming to the market (give me cape Jorb for making barter stand system alive! ). Still people are met down rivers and etc as before.
I'll try to see if we can't find some time to make some sort of update once the Salem beta is out.

A toast!
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.
Gauze can no longer be used to crash the server. Nice avatar.

I don't think you've ever made any major change to the game that didn't make half the forums cry. It just the way of these things, and it will happen no matter what.
And the thing with band-aids is that you can't really treat a gangrene with them, so yeah I didn't think they'd accomplish much. I'm just pointing out that some problems where a band-aid *would* help a bit are going unfixed anyway, which just illustrates how abandoned the game is (if scratches aren't being treated the gangrene is obviously gonna be left alone).
Anyway, I really don't think you should bother with updates after Salem beta, as Salem is quite simply a superior game and shouldn't have it's development hours stolen by H&H.

Yes, the mechanics simply make a lot more sense, keep developing Salem. No point in chasing two rabbits.
The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare
