Couldn't find this basic equation on here so I thought I would add here.
To caculate how much lp is needed to get desired level
x is desired skill level
z is current skill level
y is needed lp
y=(50x^2+50x)-(50z^2+50z)
eg
y=(50(5)^2+50(5))-(50(1)^2+50(1))
y=1400
If you want to graph, only fill in current skill level.
Enjoy
edit: y=(50x^2+50x-100)-(50z^2+50z-100) to y=(50x^2+50x)-(50z^2+50z)

Re: Lp equation
or if you want to get 50 levels, you could just click the level up button 50 times, and see how much it costs.
because that requires less math

Re: Lp equation
The reason you couldn't find it is because people who care worked it out on their own, and people who don't just click the button.

That and this is easier than clicking 50 times!Saphireking65 wrote:The reason you couldn't find it is because people who care worked it out on their own, and people who don't just click the button.

Re: Lp equation
Oh, by the way, your math is terribly wrong. Calculating the need to get level 1 to 100 with your formula, I get 25002450 LP needed. Now, let me teach you something. The formula to add any quantity of numbers together is
, where n is the final number in the series. Using this knowlege, you can find how much LP you need to get to n, and how much LP you have already put into a skill, x. Just subtract what you have already put in from what you are aiming for, multiply by 100, and bam, you got the amount required. For example, you need 504900 LP to level a skill from 1 to 100.

x=100
z=1
y=(50(x)^2+50(x)-100)-(50(z)^2+50(z)-100)
y=(50(100)^2+50(100)-100)-(50(1)^2+50(1)-100)
y=(500,000+5,000-100)-(50+50-100)
y=504900-0
y=504900
It also works in the caculator.

Re: Lp equation
Wait, yea I did it wrong. I accidently squared 5000, instead of 100 then multiplying. Your way is correct yet long and confusing.

Re: Lp equation
A bit long, but I wouldn't say complicated.
I just do all the steps at the same time.
y=(n^2+n)/2
y=.5n^2+.5n
Like you said, you times the answer by 100
so lets just do that in the formual
y=50n^2+50n
Acount for the free 100 because you start at 1 and not 0
f1(x)=50n^2+50n-100 <= This is a basic Quadratic equation y=ax^2+bx+c
other forms that this could take
y=100((n^2+n)/2)-100
y=100((n^2+n-2)/2)
y=100(.5n^2+.5n-1)
But lets mirror the orginal equation becuase you may already have a some skill points
f2(z)=50z^2+50z-100
So
y=F1(x)-F2(z)
or
y=(50(x)^2+50(x)-100)-(50(z)^2+50(z)-100)
You could get rid of the -100 to shorten it. I didn't think of that.
y=(50(x)^2+50(x))-(50(z)^2+50(z))

Re: Lp equation
You're using unnecessary calculus for something that can be done by simple multiplication.
