Killed...over and over and over again

So, I've been playing this game for about 3 months. I'm on my 4th camp... and dead again. I can't even get to the point where I could defend myself or my camp. Is it even worth it to try in this game or is it just like that?

some others seem to find it worthy - some don't...in this game you have to have fun in getting back up on your feet again over and over...

you may try to join a village which might give you a bit more security...

I've played consistently over the last 2 years and have never been killed by another player. Also I'm a simple hermit who didn't even use walls in W3/4 and only had a palisade in W5/6. Just gotta pay attention to where you're setting up your shop and be careful while you're out and about.

Otherwise there's the peace SG if you want to settle somewhere new.

ya, I'm the pacifist hippie type... just want to play, have fun, help whoever I can, and mind my own. I met a few new players after playing a month and gave them things and helped them, they were the first people I met in the game... after that everyone I met asked for help, then killed me. I just don't see the honor in tricking people whiling to help you. That's messed up!

Yeah generally you just have to accept the fact that it's extremely difficult to make new in-game relationships with how the current user base behaves. It's much better to be cautious of all new people you meet, for safety purposes.

many kids that play need to boost their egos (e-pens) - in RL getting beaten up in the street, mobbed in school, loosing in sports ...and when you're telling them you're a friendly, helpfull and pacifistic playing guy they see you as a welcomed victim...and sadly those who like helpfull players are those that get raided, murdered and quit...

where's the peace SG? haven't been on the forums before this so sry if I come of as a noob... I've just played the game and tried to figure things out as I go

i encourage you to keep trying. i have died lots in my month or so of playing and i just keep trying. this character i am doing well. i study lots of curios and i met up with someone who was nice enough to invite me to their village but lets me operate somewhat hermit style. going well!

Living as a hermit requires extreme isolation, living in the peace supergrid, or luck to live for any significant amount of time. I would suggest trying the peaceful supergrid though, I've heard it's quite the success.
