sorry for not putting this on my other post but i forgot just like the title says i cant make a torch can somebody say what i need to make a torch if i have the materials im probably having more problems bye

You need to have discovered Linen Cloth

and getting out of boat by Crtl+left mouse where you want get out to...

Easiest way to discover linen cloth: take your shirt/pants off
