Everything s a metaphor, if you live your life well and are remembered and missed, that is like the good "afterlife" or heaven
if you are remembered as a bad person, that would be like a "hell" because nobody misses you etc etc.

i believe that basically because God is a silly idea, and Christianity is actually the exact same codes and ideals of a smaller religion about 300 years before "year 0" Just with different names and place's.

and given enough research and time science can prove anything other than how headphones manage to start out perfectly wrapped or placed away, then end up a fucking jungle maze.

I believe that there is likely something, but I don't believe that it has anything to do with what is written in any "holy books". Religion in general (anything with an after-life) is made up by a group of people who are afraid of death and find comfort in thinking that things don't end with their live on Earth. This goes for all religion. The morals of religion I believe in, but the beliefs themselves are bat-shit insane.

Edit #2: I grew up in a very very religious home (step dad was a preacher) and I was forced to go to church until I was about 14 years old even though I didn't believe in it all after the age of around 8. The teachings make sense when it comes to how to treat others etc etc but it only comes down to basic human morals and the religion is in no way breaking new ground with them. As for the stories, they're entertaining as a young child but when they're really looked at they make little to no sense. Talking snakes, rivers of blood, parting seas, goliaths, etc. These stories can be compared to that of the Greek gods and still make just about as much sense to an uneducated man. (Example: thunder being the gods fighting)

Depends on whether you want to spend your life worrying about what's after it and about some high powers judgement on you, or stop worrying and spend your life while you have it.

Because I honestly don't give a fuck about the afterlife, neither should you, nor should you crutch yourself on a higher power.
