He probably looks down on most of you and wonders why He/She bothered in the first place.

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

Not exactly. I just prefer to rely on logic, science, and observation. Emotionalism is fun and all, but it really doesn't get anything done does it.WarpedWiseMan wrote:

Just because you cannot grasp the complexity of reality, you find comfort with the easier notion of "something"? Don't you think you're cutting your potential for a true scientific understanding of reality just a little short there?jordancoles wrote:WWM is right, which is why I said I believe that there is SOMETHING. It doesn't have to be a floating magic man, but everything around us is far too complex to just happen for the sake of happening. As of right now as far as evolution goes the interventionalist theory seems to make sense. Based on bones found (at the moment) it seems that we were developing very slowly and then out of no where started evolving at a much quicker pace meaning that something may have stepped in during the process to help it along. Although we could easily find more evidence tomorrow to prove that we were simply missing a step in our evolution and that there is in fact no gap at all in our progression.
Hardly. Cutting it short would mean I slapped the tag of Jesus as the "something". I'm open minded to a lot of "if's" and that leaves room for understanding. I'm not putting my faith into anything I'm simply saying that science as of right now has a gap in the remains that support human evolution. That's the whole reasoning behind the interventionalist's theory.dagrimreefah wrote:Just because you cannot grasp the complexity of reality, you find comfort with the easier notion of "something"? that step would most likely be humans (or human like ancestors) starting to live in groups or colonies, where they start to develop reasoning beyond instinctual habit, they understand more of whats going on around them, and as they begin to make a change to their surroundings their bodies would change with it, you live in a cold environment you suddenly make warm, over the next few generations those traits specific to the cold environment will start to disappear and be replaced by others.jordancoles wrote:WWM is right, which is why I said I believe that there is SOMETHING. If the "gaps" in the theory of evolution you speak of are the missing transitional fossils, you must realize how rare transitional fossils are, and how brief such transitional species spent on this Earth. That is not a gap. To label that a gap is like labeling the inability of humans to quantify gravity a gap in the theory of special relativity.jordancoles wrote: Hardly.
