The question is why you think World 7 will be any different? Wouldn't it be better for there to be a fundamental change in the core mechanics to work against this rather than just another iteration of the same?

Try explaining that logic to a Romney or Obama supporter.

To me its not a matter of game change's it's the fact that world 6 is full of advanced villages and starter vilages so it's not fun for me. I've re-connected with some village mates from world 3 and looking forward to world 7 when it comes... dont matter when really to me. I'll wait it out and keep an eye on the forums so as to be ready for it when it does.

Didn't you pay any attention really to what Teck said? I'll repeat the question he asked: What makes you think that W7 is going to be any better then this world? I don't see how it wouldn't be fun. There's still plenty of areas that have not yet been seen the eyes of a Hearthling.

The reason world 6 is so bad is because it was a new world, with no new content.

Its just getting that time where everyone has highest Resources they are going to get, and gold is free now ;p

W7 won't be W7 without a promised overhaul. So we have to wait.

If I'm understanding it correctly, he's saying that with world 7 he'll be there from the start and won't feel he's "behind" the rest. Which is what most people not in an advanced village feel like if they have aspirations to greater goals.

And the point of others is: if you're not in a group pushing to find the good resource spots and set up a palisade in under 48 hours and a brick wall in under a week, you're still behind, so it doesn't matter if you play now or at the start of a new world. It's really not that hard of a point to understand. People "fall behind" not because they're just starting out but because they don't have the organizational skills and numbers required to keep up.

Also, the notion that there is a "second place" is ridiculous. There's not even a first place, just the current king of the hill which can be shoved off at any moment if someone finds the right leverage.

Within a few hours of World 4 and World 5, people were demanding a reset because they had fallen behind. This kind of toxic mentality seems to ruin the game for a lot of people solely because they believe that some essence of fairness and right has been violated. The start of a brand new world is going to be just as brutal and violent as the current world unless core mechanics are changed and it's really that simple. People will rush murder, destroy your boats, rush vandalism, kite bears through your settlement, sling bears down, get them healed my deer, and lead them to you to kill you, etc. etc..

If you are really that worried about have an equal footing in this game as everyone else so that you will not be killed or defeated by others, then this game might not be for you.
