How do you make boards? I got logs and a bonesaw but have no idea how it's done.

Have the "Lumberjacking" skill, right click on a log/felled tree and choose "Make boards" with the saw equipped.

For that you'll need a dowsing rod to find an otherwise hidden water spot to build the well upon.
For that you'll need a stick or two and a dream.
For that you'll need a dream catcher.
For that you'll need a stick or two and some yarn.
For that you'll need a sheep.
