Time does not pass while the server is down.theuberplayer wrote:Regarding things in-game like event such as chicks hatching from eggs or curios "learning", will people be able to log on and have such things done, seeing of how it was still in real time, but no one was in-game?
Or is it like a time-freeze regarding the hard drive, making the whole game just kind of stop? :?:

Also, if it was possible, could you have multiple server, maybe different hard drive locations(?), to prevent the crashing or injuring of H&H, the World, or the server? It, to me, seems like a possible idea, but I'm just wondering.

and as someone mentioned, if a mirror server would keep us playing while sth crashed again, I believe we players are quite willing to donate the maintainancethomasez wrote:however we are rebuilding raid array. is there sth we can do to improve the i/o performance without turning RAID off?loftar wrote: Edit: If anything, I might actually imagine that the disk being down and therefore turning off RAID might have made the I/O situation better in itself. I have been suspecting the swraid to be partly responsible for some time.
