Right out of the gate I was all: Uh... I clicked... I CLICKED I! Oh.. it's laggy. ok... a touch of patience required... I'll let my friends know in ADVANCE ;P
Wasn't always like this, was actually pretty smooth before a failed OS upgrade.
Actually, it's always been laggy.

wikia.com

When I started, the original HNH wiki was trending and in the top 5 recently active wikis, so I clicked it.

I was taking an online introduction to computer programming course a year or two ago, and one of the icebreaker topics was "What video games do you play?" Someone posted about HnH and I gave it a try. Almost gave up when the server was down for a few days as soon as I started, but I had gotten a taste and it was over by then.

I discovered HnH when some players from AdventureQuest Worlds posted about it in their clan board, which I frequent. Played through the end of World 3 and part of World 4 with them. They quit when their village was raided by griefers in World 4. I still stayed on.

I ended up sticking around and making my own little homestead because I liked building things and designing layouts and giving away free food/gear to newbies.
