Your character needs to be a specific distance from the water (you don't need to fish directly on the school). It doesn't "auto lock-on" to where you can fish and you can in fact fish anywhere, just those places without nodes will not yield anything.FoxGuy wrote:If that is correct, then why won't I fish even if there's a school of fish RIGHT NEXT to shallow water!?
Get into a boat and you essentially eliminate this problem.
Adventure -> Fishing -> Left click water
Do it in a boat, if it still isn't working you don't have a fully equipped pole with either bait or lure.
