Issues With Expanding Claim

I live in a small hermitude by myself and have a small area claimed via a stake claim. In the past I was able to expand my claim by right clicking on the claim and clicking "expand" in one of the four directions. Now when I click the stake claim, all it brings up is a small menu which just tells me how large an area I can highlight. I already checked the wiki and it was no help.How can I continue my expand?

The issue is likely because you haven't applied the update to your Ender's Client.
