Lol, ok, sticking up for Phinix is not contributing anything meaningful to a thread about combat but i still don't really see how that affects you.
And i honestly can't see how am i flirting with Jordan in this thread.
I'm not really sure tbh what i've done to upset you so much.

Dear Borka,
My most sincerer apologies, to you and the "non english mothertougue users" here. Really, they only meaningful meaningful thing I have said, is the small bit of combat knowledge I shared, but because you calmly and ever so nicely reminded me of this matter, I shall go ahead and write it out coherently.
KAIZOKUROOF COMBAT GUIDE AGAINST OTHA PLAYAHZ - Melee Combat edition:
Advantages:
- Melee combat, is usually a cheaper stat to invest in (LP wise) the reason being, that you only need to raise one skill.
- Most of the combat gear available, is all for Melee combat, you're able to increase your Melee Combat stat by about 100, with the gear available currently. That is; a pair of thanes (2 thanes) Dragon Helm and a CTC (Cut Throat Curiass)
- Combat Weights are more in the favor of Melee combat. Both offensive weight (how effective your attack on another players defense bar is) and Defensive weight (how effective your defense bar is at taking a hit vs the offensive weight of attacking player) This is because, the standard attack for a melee combat user, is sting. Sting has a weight of 1.00, while a UA (Unarmed combat) users base attack is punch, which is only 0.87. Your Defensive weight is 1.25 X your Melee combat, as a nubtier example, coles has provided above, if you have 100 MC your offensive weight will be 100 and your defensive weight 125. A UA user, with the same amount of skill, only in UA AKA 100 UA, will have a defensive weight of 100 and an offensive weight of 87 (as most UA users, don't even bother with moves like, strangle or Knock his teeth out (which have different weights, but I digress).
Disadvantages:
- The lowest form of attack (Sting) Takes 2 IP (initive points) to actually use, meaning you're slower to attack and it's harder to counter someone who starts attacking you.
- Only one maneuver, shield.
- Must be in open places, so you can keep your opponent(s) away - That said, you can movement combat in tight places, however I would avoid this if possible, as tight combat is very tricky and timing is everything.
- You need at least 400 + str and a sword of Q100 + to even remotely damage some of the current players out their.
- The only real way of taking off their defense is chaining together moves in a combo
Brief strategy guide
Stay calm, Melee combat is all about keeping the other player away from you, it is KEY that if you are fighting someone who is trained in the art of UA to keep them at a distance at all times. It also helps to understand your opponent. Unarmed combatants use maneuvers to fuel their attack/defense, maneuvers are only active when you use a move on your opponent and they are A) standing still or B) have a move queue on a target, be it your opponent, bear, boar, ant , someone else in the party - WHATEVER. This means, that if you use call down the thunder while A or B are in play, you are HELPING them, so to get around this, drag them into tree's or other obstacles when they are chasing you, or force them to move around things manually and use call down the thunder at this time.
A great way, if it is only one opponent, is to run in circles, always keeping an obstacle between you and your opponent, thus they cannot attack you. This also works if there are 2 or 3 people, just keep in mind, you may need to arc in VERY BIG circles spanning a few minimaps, which will result in you chewing through water, so always take at least 6 buckets of High Q water and when in doubt, just run .
Basic combo:
Stack 23 IP, using call down the thunder and movement combat to get to this number. Once 23 IP is reached, you have enough to Opp Knocks 4 times and finish with a sting. This is a VERY basic combo, and very easily avoided, if the person you are fighting against, has half a brain. One way to counter this, is as the Melee combatant uses 4 opp knocks, quickly throw in an evil eye (removes all the attack on the other user) this will usually result in them stinging for nothing and the melee combatant wasting all their IP and attack which is also used to fuel their defense. GG.
As mentioned above, if you're fighting a UA user (most likely as every faggit goes UA) everytime you are using a move on them, a maneuver is active. If they have Oaken stance on, chances are 4 opp knocks aren't going to even get the UA user under 30% defense and your sting, even if it hits at 100% attk, is either only going to dmg the UA users defense bar or you're going to ping for 0 dmg. As a melee combat user, there are ways to stop them from countering your Opp Knocks, a simple method, involves moving from your opponent as you use an attack, like oppknocks.... but with this, comes a very high risk of being hit while moving. A solution to this, is clipping them on something, for example a tree, and then quickly maneuvering around the tree, using your move and retreating back behind the tree. This will usually mean, they haven't got a maneuver active on you and that they won't be able to auto follow with a move, thus you avoid the hit.
NOTES:
FYI: The wiki is wrong with weights of the attacks, I know someone who has tested the weights of moves and come up with a more accurate list, however they shall not be named but you should thank them none the less.
* THATS ALL FOR NOW, I may continue writing once I get 2 work.
