Chicken coops

I just dont understand what is good about a chicken coop. is it just a dex source?

it's a chicken source. chicken are used to produce a variety of things. chicken salad, beeted bird breast, creamy cocks, wishbones, featherdusters, eggs (and by extension, pancakes, birthday cake, and some other stuff)

natural chickens are q10, with a coop you can raise that quality(bunch of folks are q200+ now) and having chicken and chicken by products at that quality is a good thing...

bones for saws, seer's bones and what not
feathers for feather dusters(great curios)
eggs boiled eggs are good perception food
and of course higher quality food is higher amounts of fep

but you don't have to build 1 if you don't want 1
