I have a question about mineholes. I know water, mined tiles, paved tiles, and objects will prevent the use of a minehole from above. Will establishing a private claim of the area below do the same thing?

I can confirm that it is possible to build a working minehole where there is a pre-existing claim on the layer below. You don't need any criminal abilities - or to have Criminal Acts turned on - to go down the minehole, but you need Trespassing to get back up.

What is softcapp formul for silk thread cub root(sew*dex*psy) or sqrt(sew*dex)?

Producing silk filiments is softcapped by cube root of sewing*farming*dexterity, filiments to thread and thread to silk is I believe is only softcapped by sewing (although have not tested this with a low enough sewing level), spinning wheel q and loom q both affect q of the silk so to be affective train up sewing, farming and dexterity, get a good loom and a good spinning wheel and grow some awesome mulberry trees and be full nature of course.

You can't delete (old) chars - you'll have to make them die - swim and drown, suicidal attack animals...

Most of the time its a simple skill or item you have not discovered yourself. Try all the skill needed for each item to grow a tree. Have you dug soil, collected water, collected the tree seed you wish to plant, dug clay, made boards, cut blocks of wood, gathered plant fibres, shaped clay into a pot and then fired it in a kiln.... The wiki is not always forthcoming in tell you you have to do every step yourself to unlock some things. Maybe you missed a step.
