Hm, perhaps the village you are talking about was out of authority? Try destroying another authority object from the same village yourself and tell me if it works.

Well, even in W5 animals could destroy crossroads, but I doubt they would be able to do that to auth obj.

Animals do destroy authority objects.

Tested also on statues, CR and banners against walls. Works on all instances with some effort. The bear did try and avoid the authority object but after repetitive attempts it did destroy all types of objects with authority. Yes this means that 100% vaults never were 100%. Just that people didn't know about this trick.
