Why not place a chat on the homepage of HnH? (http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/)

So players could socialize better and also disclose towns or other things about the game more quickly and could also see faster because few people see some areas of the forum, it would be nice to talk with people who still plays HnH.

Too much work? You can choose a plugin to add to the page, like how Genusis added one to the devscorner.net site...
Only thing you gotta do is customize it but generally only members can view it.
