Whether it's a fresh world after a wipe or an ongoing devastated like this one it's up to us players what we make with it. Breaking new frontiers might even include having different targets in gameplay like making lost areas looking better again instead of trying to archive "typical old" goals like having the best resources, high q stuff or being the strongest one...

I carry a few bags of low q seed with me and plant over paved areas, remove signs and dumped stuff etc, and when I get my tree planting going there will be one for me and one for the forest.

Well, Is there still any developement int his game? I have seen this other more §D game of them, so the question is, how long will this game be alive. And with alive I do not mean a "abandonned" server running.

Or is it a tactic to have this game runnign bad, so people might went over to the new one?

Somehow, a dedicated server software people could put on their own servers would be great. Its then a bit more controlled environement, for those that are afraid of beeing raided by people having fun by destoying other peoples work of a year in some days.

This would just creat so many posibilities:

make it your own single player game.
open it to your trusted friends
open it for everyone (which would be like it is now)

So if maybe sold for a few $; it wouldn't be that bad. I mean intellectual property does not deny this possibility.

but then they should at least, for the legacy of the game, fix that lag. I mean If it were my game, I wouldn't let it die this way. sad somehow. And also, a stable running legacy might get some Donations from time to time. But this is actually sad to see.

the new game, dunno, looks too much like runescape. I would prefer playing Wurm online then again. But it consumes more time than HnH since you more regulary have to take care about your animals and crops, because grown stuff decays very fast compared to the everlasting grown crops of HnH.
