AFAIK you can't breed it that way - only nearly ready breeded eggs produce chicks when taken out of Coop and i.e. put in crate or cup
if you want to fasten the "producing" always keep the fodder full (easy way is to have a filled fodder trough next to Coop, lift and right click Coop) - the more cocks and hens the faster - but you have to keep room for eggs and chicks

Do I need the fodder full?
I keep some in there they never get starved!
I'm trying to give the best possible food. For now chickens q10 qith fodder q31 but it's half fodder. 4 chickens with one cock!
Edit: A chick level 7 doesn't improve right?

You're correct, a level 7 chick will not improve. It is stuck lv7 unless you starve it lower.
Fodder does not need to be full. They'll eat the average of whatever is in there right now. =)

Another one!
Does the nodes of clay, soil, sand etc depletes forever?
For example digging a node of q35 soil if I continue digging it lowers the quality. Does quality over time raises again to it's original or it's lost forever?
If in time it raises, how much time are we talking?
Thanks

A: There are invisible resource allocators known as 'nodes' in the world. Not every location has a node and nodes that do exist are circular/ovular in shape. Nodes determine how much of a resource is at a location and at what quality. Nodes produce the highest qualities at the center of the node. If a mudflat or shallow shoreline does not have a clay node, then digging it will produce only 1 piece of quality 10 clay or no clay at all. Nodes deplete as they are used and produce lower and lower quality products. Nodes will heal in time if not used but will never exceed their original maximum quality. Some resources do not need a node to be used, such as water, stone, sand, and soil. Without a node you cannot dig for clay, fish for fish, or mine for metal ore though.
I'll be honest, I don't remember the exact amount of time. I think it was something like a week to heal from q10 to full?

http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/SoilNote that if you find a source of high quality soil, the quality will decrease the more you dig there. However, it will restore itself to its original value over time.
you can dig high q soil very low and it takes weeks till it comes close to the original q - it even can happen that it's not going fully up again...
but with q35 soil you shouldn't worry - that's common and very easy to find

Water from a well does not decrease in quality ever. Only water from a lake will do so, but it will regenerate over time.Sorchy wrote:Yes it decrease in time ... when you fill a few barrels.KuroAisu wrote:Water from a well works the same?
