I got sausage for days.Vouss wrote:zmurell left out the time where he failed to turn on swimming and left me hanging out on the other side of the water, after two attempts of me trying to hit him moving where I ended up just having my defense get one shot, I was able to evil eye him, kite the CD, and get two scalds off (returning avantage to 1:1) before he could hit me again, while still having more IP then him.
I would recommend brodgar to anyone looking for some easy kills, you will get chased around by some bads but if you just walk in a straight line you will be outa there no problem, but of course it is AD and you will just get bugrammed in the end

Re: Brodgar!
Hello hearthlings, I hope it's not too boring, but I'd like to continue telling about my experiences in Brodgar.
My story left off Thursday when this happened:
(I was too shocked and afraid to take the picture immediately)

Friday
With relief I discover that the man who sold me the backpack, bambo, has survived the night. But there is not a lot of time to chat with him because this is the day I introduce my friend Winless to the game. We take a short boating adventure on which I teach him how to gather, build, and craft things. Then we head back to Brodgar to claim a place for him to live. While we mark off Winless' land, a naked babbling man screams obscenities at us and stands wherever we are trying to walk and pave. A man with a golden crown and sword walks over, makes a few quick stabs, and before I know what is happening the naked man is dead. But it seems the naked one is a phoenix-man because as soon as he dies he is replaced by another, who is also quickly slain. What demon is summoning these annoyances? Half a dozen townspeople join us to help pave, but the phoenix-man keeps harassing us. "Excuse me sir, but you are littering my plot with bodies" says Winless towards the naked one. The man in the golden crown tells us not to worry and gives Winless a backpack.
"Well, at least these naked men are harmless." I think to myself.
But I thought wrong. It isn't long before another naked man attacks a nearby deer and takes a walk around bambo's fence. The deer is rather enraged, so he lowers his antlers and charges straight at the annoying pest, destroying bambo's fence, some his crates, and all of his drying racks and hides. Bambo and I are there to witness it. We both yell "STOP!" but what can be done to stop him? We are powerless. "Your land is probably next" bambo warns me as he begins rebuilding. But I don't know what I can do. It is time for me to sleep soon, but first I let the golden-crowned man know about the deer troubles. Hopefully my land will be intact when I wake. As I drift off to sleep, I resolve to build something stronger than a fence.
Saturday
Two more of my friends join the game and Winless invites them to live on his land with him. We teach them how catch dragonflies and raid anthills. I give them fishing rods and teach them how to gather leeches for bait. One of them announces we should build a log cabin, so the four of us gather logs from the nearby forest. While I gather logs for them I am also dropping off half my logs at my own land because my housemate Brogdafarian is working diligently on our palisade. When the log cabin is finished, we all rush inside and all four of us are stuck inside of eachother's bodies! What a strange thing.
The boys think it's fun scavenge the abandoned places downriver for some furniture and seeds. One of our friends is industrious enough to collect loads of clay for a kiln and oven. The other acquires the ability to make boats and carts. It is a lovely day full of learning and building. Just before bed we are lucky enough to witness the founding of Brodgar as well! Satan, our new Lawspeaker, gives a wonderful speech about being a free and open city. He says he will do his best to lead and if we are unsatisfied he wouldn't mind if we all killed him. We chuckled awkwardly at the joke, hoping nobody would actually take him up on it. I've seen quite enough death in my time here.
As I fall asleep, I think "None of my kin has died today... what a peaceful day! This is wonderful, maybe things are improving." but in the morning I learned that (once again) I thought wrong. During my sleep, one of my friends had been trying to help Brolaf separate the sheep for taming, but he wasn't aware that moving a signpost would allow the sheep to angrily stampede out from their pen. It was his first day of playing and he's already got accidental blood on his hands... welcome to Brodgar, friend. I hope the guilt does not eat away at him too much.
Sunday
The first thing I do in this morning is head to the town square because last night Satan said he could bring in new people and supplies using the village idol. There I find three golden-crowned men looking intimidating with their glistening swords. I recognize one of them - he is the one who helped Winless two days ago when he first settled. He assures me the other two would not hurt me. I relax, but only for a moment because just then a boy in rags runs up to the town square screaming "Satan is under attack!"
Our lawspeaker needs help! The three men scramble after the boy as he leads them South through the streets of Brodgar. The citizens take notice of the ruckus and poke their heads out of their homes. Some of them begin following the armored men and by the time the boy in rags turns a corner West there is a small crowd running through the streets to save Satan.
We all arrive too late to prevent the murder, but the chase is not over. When we reach Satan's body it is a bloody mess of crumpled limbs. Off in the distance, the corners of the assassin's bearcape can be seen disappearing around a street corner. "After her!" someone yells and the crowd rushes West towards the river. Just when we think we have her cornered, she swims right across! The three armored men swim after her but the normal citizens dare not risk drowning merely to get a better look. Some of us wander back to the body of our beloved lawspeaker and kneel at his side.

That night, Satan's spirit spoke to me in a dream. I told him of my sadness. How can a person not freak out when everyone they meet is dying all around them every day? How can there possibly be any hope for the future? Satan had some advice for me:
"It was good while it lasted,
but things have changed.
I will find my fun in other ways.
There's no need for sadness.
It is pointless.
We must carry on." - Satan
He is right. I strengthen my resolve. My chances of survival may be small, but I don't plan on giving up.
