Got Killed, need to know why

My main got killed today while I was away. Yesterday I was scavenging and I left some scents in most likely abandoned claims. Someone tore my gate open and pobably summoned me and killed without warning nor explanation, destroyed my house and cabin. He left runestones one says: ПОТРАЧЕНО WESTED ("spent WESTED"), the other: АБДУЛЬ ВАС ПОКАРАЛ МАСЛЯТА СУКА БЛЯТЬ АНША АБУЛЬ ("Abdul YOU BITCH fuck punish the boletus Anshan Abul").
I don't think anything was taken, rather destroyed, as I do not posses any valuable items. I scavenge abandoned places for some items I might use but a do not steal if I see that place is occupied nor do I have any means to brake an entry.
So now my question is - was it retaliation or some random act based on a random scent I left. I haven't created a new character yet as I need to know if I should leave or is it okay to stay. I live a simple hermit life and don't pose a threat to anyone as I am quite a noob still.
If anyone recall picture from below please post so I know where I stand. This was my home.

I know I've been playing since the end of W4. But if it was a random attack from a guy who can tear down a pali gate without a ram (probably) then it means I'd be better off somewhere else since he might return

yeah go out or build a bw , actually the palis not are a good idea.

To build a BW first you need to be safe enough to get resources for a BW. And pali brings safety, at least a little.

I decided to stay a bit and see what happens.. At least until I build my new char a bit more to actually get some means to build BW.

Well, try not to leave scents anymore. This is the simplest thing to do at the moment to keep you safe. No scents - no threat to your own characters you keep offline.

Big lesson to take away is: Do NOT leave scents if you aren't ready/prepared for potential consequences. Abandoned claims or not, someone will track your ass down and try to kill you. Why? Because he/she can.

Alright.. Lesson learned. I'll lay low for now. Thanks for giving me some closure guys. Now I can go back to the game.
