Try leashing a cow and click avast on your boat with a carrot in your inventory. The carrot will be eaten by a rabit jackalope that passes by to hump the leashed cow. as you distracted the jackalope you can now ride your shocked cow towards the wall. because the cow is confused of what just happened, he will think he's a mole, dig a hole under the wall and you'll be at the other side!
Don't forget to pave the spot where the cow will dig. he likes stones.

actually it made no sense at all, carrying something over your head defaults your movement speed to 1...so you can't be on 4. hes combining 2 wall jump glitches, 1 you log out with an item over your head next to a cliff log back in on other side of cliff. the other is explained in HERE(thats a link, click it).

I have locks and bolts and yeomanry. Why can't I make a gate for the palisade when the cornerposts are 1 tile apart?

Because they have to be 2 tiles apart!

Two empty tiles with corner posts on either side make building a gate possible

ps: you don't need locks and bolts to make gates, locks and bolts allows you to make cellars(if you have a pickaxe) or a copy of a key(if you're stupid enough)!
