How do i know where is something?

Hey guys, i will give u a example of my need:

I need to know where are the cows, and i dont know where look for...

I need to know where are the mines, to mining something, and i know how i know this informations...

We have some map, that says where are the cows, fox, deers, etc? And other stuffs..

Im just starting this week, this is why so many questions..

Cows and other animals (chickens, sheeps) randomly spawn in the bright green areas, you have to search them. You can also plant a resonably large grass area near your claim to have them near, but it will take a lot of seeds

For mines you need the skill Prospecting, you need to find a rustroot (a rare herb) and a lot of luck.
Or you can join a village that already has a mine

It takes at least a few months to get to the point where you can find mines. You need to join a town to mine. Try to find the town of Brogdor. Someone around there should help you.

Rustroot isn't all too rare, anyone with more than 30 perception and more than 30 exploration should have few issues finding them.

That said. You are likely to find mines in caves, but some caves are deep. You may need a lot of torches and rustroot extract to figure out where a mine hole is.

(I dont want to start a new thread for something so minor...) How does one light a torch?

Equip, then right click it.

First equip it so that you are holding it. Then right click the box on which ever side of your character picture shows the torch. The little pop-up will give you the option "Light"

To put out a torch to save it for later put it into your inventory again.

Quite a few people took several days to figure this one out.
