Graphic card? Driver version?

ATI Radeon HD 6990 with newest drivers. Also I tried Union client and it crashed too when I left both my chars AFK to get personal belief timers going and when I came back after 6 hours both clients had frozen just like ender does.

I also noticed that when the crash happens in task manager the java process CPU usage jumps up to 25

And what's your CPU usage normally with what CPU? (just curious)

I'm still not sure what causes that Freezes - i only had it while doing stuff (but i never afk that long anyways - Computer is used or off )

I wish I could hide trees but not logs.

You can edit your haven.conf file yourself. In line starting with "hideObjects=" replace

Taking a quick and short look at the Ender client source code. The "hideObjects" conf setting seems to be for loading and saving the current hidden toggles. Based on the code I looked at, you can add other res-items. But you probably can only toggle those with the general/main Hide toggle. (that seems not really that useful to me.)

Normal CPU usage is around 10%. Also my CPU is a 2600k @ 4.5GHz. And more accurate description of the crashes: they happen in 2 different ways. The first one that might happen is that my fps starts suddenly going down rapidly from 45 to 5 over about 10 seconds after which I usually just close the client. The other way the game crashes is that the screen freezes and I can just hear the sounds but cant click anything and when clicking the X button on the top right hand corner the game wont close and I have to go to processes and kill the process.

maybe that's the cause?!? - you probably run your whole PC at max - what about overheating issues? You might try without O/C ing ...
