Having had my cave palibashed and my home raided last world (thanks, Redell!), I say that what you actually *want* is a brick wall. But yeah, if you can't manage that you need a palisade. HFs are comparatively easy to bash.Granny wrote:What is the best way to seal off a cave entrance for unwanted guests? I see a few uses a line of 3 HF. Previous I saw a pali gate used. Is the HF just one step towards the gate or is that considered safer?

Will a HF stop people from exiting a cave? When you exit from a cave into a claim with a gate, you will appear on the gate tile - and can possible bash it from there. Not certain though.min_the_fair wrote: HFs are comparatively easy to bash.

if someone fishes on on my claim , can they just tresspass and fish without leaving scents? or you need theft or vandalism like with other nodes?

Is there any difference in gathering leeches walking in a swamp or standing still? Does walking go faster or is it the same?

Re: Please Ask Simple Questions Here
although i understand softcapping im having trouble putting it into practice.
for instance, my bone saw is q47 or so but my stone axe is a crappy q10. do i need to plant my own trees to get it better? is that the only way?
edit: i guess mining too but im a noob and dont really want to mine/cannot find an unclaimed one
should i try and get my survival up high and leave exploration at 13? im thinking putting carpentry up too.. but im a little lost :3

Re: Please Ask Simple Questions Here
This is how I blocked mine, with hf in front of entrance, then once palli was finished i've moved hf into cave entrance.Granny wrote:What is the best way to seal off a cave entrance for unwanted guests? Edit: I want to stop people from exiting cave into my claim. If they are inside my claim wanting to enter the cave, I am in trouble anyway...

Meanwhile, I secured the other three entrances to the cave with alt hf's - which are now all claimed and palled. B/walls next - urgh!
Hope that helps.
By the time someone mines in, i'm hoping to have it covered with village claim (underground) and b/walled inside and out, lol, fingers crossed!
