Did we actually determine if quality affects the LP gained? From what I can remember of Nao's tests it doesn't actually.

probably the fact that only his HF blocks someone from getting in, which is super easy to destroy with vandal XD

Maybe I'm wrong but the way I'm viewing it is that he was building the palisade and accidentally extended it too far (or simply didn't understand how gates worked) and was unable to complete the gate, so he built a ram in order to fix the error while also putting his HF on the empty space as a minor stopgap to help keep people out while the ram dried.

It's not like he's leaving it that way. He made an error and you simply caught him in the middle of fixing it.

Ah, I figured some dude stuck his HF in there so he could just walk in.

Owner of the skull is supposed to have had just about 4.3 million lp, so skull quality doesn't affect the lp you get.

EDIT. Skull took just about 40 hours to study.
