Connection Reset on Login

Post by Darkrip787 »

I recently decided to return to H&H, and when I try to load the autoplay client, i get the error Unable to load resource: http://www.havenandhearth.com/java/jogl/jogl.jnlp I tried running it through the Ender's Client where I can get to the login screen, but after login I get Connection Reset in red. I'm pretty sure it's a java issue, as when I try to verify my java version it never works. I have reinstalled java multiple times, both 32 and 64 bit. I have also tried editing my firewall settings to allow both java and H&H to no avail. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hmm the request timed out at hop 8 looks like qwest.net (hops 7-9/ 63.146.26.6) has some internal routing problems ?!? You should do tracerts at different times to look if that continues (it might be a reason - then you need to contact Charter Communications to ask them for help)

The Charter Security Suite Firewall (DeepGuard) works with Windows Firewall - you might do exceptions for port TCP 1871 and UDP 1870 in Windows firewall (check if it's enabled - if not enable it)

for testing Java: testing the 64 Bit Java version doesn't work with a 32 Bit Browser - you should be able to test 32 Bit Java with 32 Bit Browser
http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp (enable Java plugin for browser!) - if test works - get Ender_x32 and update - make it point to 32Bit Java (Program Files (x86) path) in run.bat

(check whether Charter Browser Security Feature hinders a Java Test - http://www.myaccount.charter.com/custom ... &section=5)

Report back please

So, I allowed the port through both my firewall and router settings. I also switched everything to 32 bit, and now when I run the enders client I can login, but it gets stuck at a black screen after connecting. I can still move my mouse around, but the screen stays black forever. Nothing new on the java, it still doesnt verify, even with only 32bit installed. Im on chrome btw.

Yes, still at 2,7,8, and 10. I'm fairly sure its a java issue at this point, since no other java applications are working either (minecraft) and gives the same error, cant connect to server.
