Re-incarnation as animals. That'd be an interesting game concept. Note how I don't say GOOD, I just said INTERESTING.
I'm thinking, once someone dies they are assigned a selection of potential hosts (animals) based on their skills in life. Highly agile characters could be Horses or rabbits or something, Strong characters could be boars, REAAAAALLLY strong characters could be Bears?
Level of the animal could be based on Barbarism or something.
Once you die as an animal, you die for good. Animals can chat with other animals of their species, but not to anyone else (it'd be interpreted as a series of grunts and growls to human characters).
Silkmoths should be included in the selection, for the hell of it.
If you drown, you re-incarnate as a fish. Just because.
Unnecessary, under-thought-out, and generally unappealing! That's the way I do it!
