If you put a rat in a container with food (seeds, carrots, any plant matter really) it will eat every 4-8 hours raising the quality by 1
As rats raise in quality they can eat more every 4-8 hours
The higher quality the rat is the larger it will appear when it is dropped
Rats can be studied after they reach q20+

wow this is a surprisingly good idea they should make sewers too and have sewer rats and plague too. maybe catacombs like in diablo

"Pet rat" is probably just a bad term for it. I'm looking for a quality system on rats, not exactly a digital companion
