Cave Cheddar still bugged

Postby DoctorZalost » Mon Jul 15, 2013 8:37 pm

The wiki entry on Cave Cheddar claims that it's currently bugged and results in Generic Gouda. There's no date associated with that bit, so I'm curious if this is a current thing or something from ages past that hasn't been removed from the wiki.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only way atm to find out would be someone trying to make cave cheddar - so we can edit the informations into RoBWiki

I guess not many ppl do Cave Cheddar when you can have BBC

I've got a few trays in a cheese rack in my mine at the moment. I'll report back once I have results, but it'll obviously take a while.

Bigger issue is that brodgar blue is better than cheddar even far as most people are concerned.

It's really a redundant cheese.

How when you get more str FEPs cave cheddar
Is it because you get 3 slices with BBC?

40 STR CC vs 45 STR BBC FEP per tray ...

I know STR doesn't need any more variety (probably why it hasn't been fixed), but that's kind of the point.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I can affirm as of last world cave cheddar only made gouda. I tried several times. I placed racks both in mined out areas and natural cave floor and the same result.

It takes a second process line seperate from MBC which most people are making anyway. Also costs more hunger to eat a tray, and for very large cheese producers hunger becomes a problem more so than the actual cheese production. You gain pretty good efficiency gains with mass production scaling (and this is excluding bots even).

So in general people find it easier just to cut some pieces of would be mbc into brodgar blues on the way out.

While all your other points are valid, this one isn't, at least insofar as my understanding goes. It's two slices for cave cheddar, three for BBC, so the Cave Cheddar should be 2/3 as much hunger as the BBC is.

If you meant more hunger than MBC, then you're correct.
