Well, if it's REALLY bruteforce, bruteforce doesn't even use wordlists, so...

Well, as far as I recall (Sorry if it's wrong) bruteforce just tries literally every combination until it succeeds, and something else does wordlists.
Actually, I just googled it.
Such an attack might be utilized when it is not possible to take advantage of other weaknesses in an encryption system (if any exist) that would make the task easier. It consists of systematically checking all possible keys or passwords until the correct one is found.
So yeah, something else uses wordlists, not sure what.

He was implying that they're giving ideas to the baddies.
Like the baddies aren't creative enough to use "loftar" or "nigger" in their wordlist, if they used wordlists.

He thinks its hard to find commonly used passwords on the net...

Its not like there are a few freely available databases with wordlists made from actual hacked passwords out there.

the point is, though, borka, that you are not supposed to make a habit of using such retarded passwords for security.
and if you have to use an easy one for some reason in this game, you should always be clearing it afterwards.
(at least, afaik hf spamming by random hs has been happening since w3, vets often told me to clear my hs when i started this game.)

This. If you aren't kinning someone in the next minute or having someone start a new character at your hearthfire there is no reason whatsoever to have a hearth secret. On the off chance someone DOES figure it out you're gonna have a bad time.
