Let those ports through.
Don't think its my firewall or anti virus.
It worked fine at World 6 though and there haven't been any major changes to my PC.

hmmm - did you try with renaming existing Ender and use a clean one including update 06.04.12 already?

also you might do a tracert in a new cmd window

Had time to try this today.
The highest MS is 49.
It does say one of the requests timed out though.

If it's hop2 it's your PC to your Router - shouldn't be the problem

What about renaming Ender and try with a "clean" one?

Tried using a clean install of ender(only updates), if that's what you meant with it.
Same result.
Should I upload an image of what I have in case its not too clear?

Check in Bios if you can set the memory shared for graphics - if possible set to 256 MB

Open your PC and have a look if both DDR Slots are filled - if not try to buy another 2GB Module - (if you have a (local) PC parts dealer take it there to check if it's working with one 4 GB module - depending on DDR type) - but be aware that XP32 can use only 3,25 GB to 3,5 GB max so don't wonder if it shows just that

I think the issue might be related to heart fires/account.
Had my friend remove my heart fire to see what would happen if I spawned in the wilderness and the game just worked with no black background whatsoever until opening the friends list.
Edit: it still randomly disconnects while walking, didn't get the chance to see if it disconnects while teleporting.

I think it's safe to assume that JRE 8 is installed for testing purposes and that HnH runs properly with Java 6 or 7 installed. If you don't know this, you should probably ensure that HnH does run proper with a released version of Java. This may or may not be a useful report depending on which parts of Java are getting changed and whether loftar is on the ball updating parts properly before release.

This may be useful to report to Oracle if you are sure that the software runs properly on 7. (Who knows what they're changing/deprecating that might be causing a crash in HnH.) It looks more like a bug in the JRE (don't think I've seen array out of bounds errors with the default or Enders).

I know about developer preview ( look at Java thread in HDI ) - i just wonder what makes some enduser grab that without being a dev, with that OS and HW specs and such ...

I'm sure Oracle isn't interested much in jre8 bugs happening on an OS whose life cycle ends shortly after the proposed release...

Who's to say? Win 98 support had ended well before Java 5 was released. I haven't checked in a year or so, but there was still a pretty decent sized installed base of WinXP still. A company can only afford to support software so long, though, especially when the hardware tech moved past it shortly after it was released. (If it wasn't for that installed base, WinXP support should have ended nearly 5 years ago.)
