Re: I can has cows
I dont think it would be involved in the crafting process but in some form of 'breeding' process.

So if you want cows, you have to smile at them?Chakravanti wrote:SHARKS!
If Domestication references a stat it's most likely to be Charisma. At least that's what my money is on.

If you think the full extent of Charisma is a nice smile then I can't even begin to explain my reasons for thinking Charisma is applicable.Vetarnian wrote:

In this game, I have no idea, because so far I'm told it's a placeholder that is just useful for getting appointed chieftain.Chakravanti wrote:If you think the full extent of Charisma is a nice smile then I can't even begin to explain my reasons for thinking Charisma is applicable.Vetarnian wrote:

I agree with Chak, seems resonable to me to use Charisma as stat for breeding (unless there'll be a new skill). And it would give an use to Charisma that is quite useless beyond 25 now

Charisma isn't a placeholder. It's a stat the devs put in because they intend to use it later. Trust me, Having grown up on a farming raising and breeding farm animals I can assure you that the way you treat your animals will have an impact on the quality of product you receive from them.Vetarnian wrote:

I don't think that word means what you think it does. In fact you just gave the definition of a placeholder as an example of something not being a placeholder.Chakravanti wrote: Charisma isn't a placeholder. It's a stat the devs put in because they intend to use it later.
I once dreamt of crafting beautiful thane's rings... then I discovered Big Bear Bangers. Now I smash beautiful things.

Exactly. I'm glad that charisma (and, I assume, psyche) will have some practical uses later on, but let's not really stretch it, and I can't see how raising cows can have anything to do with charisma.Cain wrote:I don't think that word means what you think it does.
