Well, this has its logic but I'm not sure if its always like this. I have a catcher in a place where I go maybe once per week, and even after I know I plucked both dreams of it and didn't go there then for a week they were there when I returned.

p.s.
a friend of mine has built dozens of cathers at one of the outer grids where basically NOBODY visits and he never got 2 dreams after his first harvesting and complained.

I have a only access to quality 10 soil, would I be able to grow quality (say) 30 crops by just increasing my farming skill? Or do I need to move to an area with higher quality soil to be able to grow better crops?

That's very unlikely.Hasmond wrote:I have a only access to quality 10 soil,
What is more probably is that your characters Survival level is hard-capping the soil quality you get.
Ergo: Up your Survival level to see/get higher soil quality.
That's a very probably yes.would I be able to grow quality (say) 30 crops by just increasing my farming skill?

I have heard of "softcapping" but never "hardcapping". Does that mean I need 10 survival or more to find soil with a quality higher than 10?
My survival is 4 btw.

You have it correct. Hardcap means it cannot go above the lowest value. Softcap means some calculation is done so that the number given is in the middle of two or more values.
@Stone Axe question: I know you asked it of Ramones, but you asked if it was possible. In theory, q200 stone axe is possible. You can either get a q200 branch and q200 stone (say from a smelter) or some other combination to average that. If one has actually been made, he is probably the guy that would know.

I'll guess my intention was to know if someone has ever crafted a Q200 stoneaxe...you could get the perfect Q200 bear hide with it and you could chop the highest Q trees without worrying for a Q penalty !!!MagicManICT wrote:You have it correct. Besides, it would be the perfect "mate" for my Q271 bonesaw

sorry to interrupt, but does axe have an impact on produced log/block? I.e. if I have q50 tree and q10 axe, does this mean that if I chop tree I would get q30 log? Or if I chop q50 log with q10 axe to blocks than I will get q30 blocks?Roxana wrote:MagicManICT wrote: you could chop the highest Q trees without worrying for a Q penalty !!!
